The Limerick Arts Office is seeking to develop the most comprehensive programme to date for Culture Night Limerick 2015, which takes place on September 18th next.
Communities, arts groups and cultural organisations throughout Limerick are being asked to support the annual initiative by submitting details of their free Culture Night event before Friday 10th July next, which is the deadline for brochure listings.
Limerick’s rich arts and culture scene will once again be showcased during Culture Night, which last year saw a record 70 cultural events for all ages being held throughout the city and county over a 5-hour period from 5pm to 10pm.
“Culture Night provides an ideal opportunity for people of all ages and from all backgrounds to access and enjoy the rich cultural offering of Limerick’s arts, heritage and cultural venues,” commented Sheila Deegan, Arts and Culture Officer, Limerick 2020 Bid Team.
“Limerick City of Culture 2014 demonstrated that cultural events have a potent power to change and act as a catalyst to bring friends, family and visitors together. As Limerick bids to become European Capital of Culture 2020, we are very encouraged by the desire and need through culture of citizens to demonstrate their pride of place and appreciation of the unique cultural heritage of Limerick, as well as highlight the abundance of cultural activities taking place here,” added Ms. Deegan?.film xXx: Return of Xander Cage trailer
